This role is seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong passion to work in a fast-paced independent medical company. The successful individual will be expected to be responsible for cleaning the key touch points of Emergency Ambulances complying with national infection prevention control measures and to ensure that Ambulances are suitably stocked with equipment and consumables to meet the busy demands placed on the service.

Staff members work a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern with a mix of shifts, including unsociable working hours.

Job summary:

• Deep Cleaning & Decontamination: Undertaking thorough internal and external cleaning of ambulances and other specialized medical vehicles.
• Infection Control: Adhering strictly to infection prevention and control (IPC) standards to prevent the spread of infections, including specific protocols for handling vehicles after transporting contagious patients.
• Vehicle Restocking: Ensuring all medical equipment and consumables are checked, in-date, and fully restocked for the next crew.
• Equipment Maintenance: Checking the functionality of on-board medical devices and reporting any faults.
• Audit Trail & Documentation: Using auditing systems to record that vehicles are clinically clean and safe for use.
• Vehicle Logistics: Moving vehicles around the site for cleaning, refueling, and preparing them for the start of staff shifts.
• Health and safety compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements

Requirements and Skills:

• Driving License: Hold a full clean driving licence.
• Attention to Detail: High standards of cleanliness are necessary to pass strict inspection protocols.
• Physical Fitness: The role involves manual labor, including bending, lifting, and working with specialized cleaning equipment.
• Flexibility: Shift work is common, including nights and weekends
• Communication: Able to communicate effectively with good organisational skills
