This role is seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong passion to work in a fast-paced independent medical company. The successful individual will be expected to plan, co-ordinate, oversee and liaise with departmental managers and teams throughout the Spark Medical organisation to ensure maximum operational requirements are achieved.

  • Produce information and communication including correspondence, reports, presentations, data and other corporate information in a prompt and professional way which meets the highest standards of accuracy, reliability and readability – tailored to the audience receiving the information which could include Executives, Clinicians, HM Coroners, Patients and Families and others.
  • Provide, receive and analyse highly complex, technical, sensitive and contentious information and make judgements based on the information, especially in the context of the resolution of complex issues, complaints and or legal claims.
  • Advise and assist in following the relevant legal frameworks and working with Patients, Families, Staff and advocates in complex cases.
  • Prepare high quality written responses to complaints which ensure that any complex or technical information is interpreted correctly and communicated in a way that can be understood by the reader.
  • Work and engage constructively with internal stakeholders on a range of sensitive issues.
  • Build and develop positive relationships with external stakeholders including NHS Trusts, HM Coroners etc.
  • Work with professional leads across the organisation to enable Spark Medical to demonstrate its compliance with National Policies and Standards including those set by NHSE, CQC, DHSC and any other relevant body.
  • Make decisions on the outcome of investigations in accordance with the levels of delegated authority.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end processing of vacancies.
  • Provide expert and specialist advice in relation to healthcare law requiring a high level of analytical and judgement skills with the ability to communicate contentious, complex and sensitive information.

  • Ensure that recommendations from inquests, claims, complaints and investigations are identified and that learning is shared widely and that any changes in practice which occur as a result of learning continues to be captured, monitored and evaluated.
